Summer trips

What you all got planned. Am heading up to John O Groats with a couple of friends in our vans. We are planning on mosying round up there and exploring and then head over to Orkney for a day as well. We are hoping to follow the east coast all the way up there and stop along the way and spend a day or two here and there.

We reckon 10 days to a fortnight all in. Since we all got things we want to do so need the time to fit it all in. We found a fac campsite at Dunnet Head which is 5 acres on the beach. Sounds magnificent. Long as the weather is kind to us it shuld be fabulous.

Got my rock n roll seats fitted this morning and am raring to go. The awning is fabulous and just the right size too. I am a happy camper pardon the pun lol

Can you post up some pics of your rock and roll bed if possible as I would like to know how they look/fit.

Cheers

Just back from the 'big trip' been to Cornwall via South Yorkshire, Gloucestershire and home via Oxfordshire. All in did 1100 miles. The van was great managed the roads and driving really well. We broke the trip up with 3 days Yorkshire, 3 days Gloucestershire, 5 days Cornwall and 2 days Oxfordshire. It was fabulous. The awning was great for all the oudoor living ie eating cooking etc and the van was so comfortable for sleeping in. Here is a pic though the awning is not connected there we had used the van for day trips to the local waterfall walks the day of that pic.

Where did you go in Cornwall? Went all over down there earlier this year on Honeymoon...I am biased to Newquay though being a surfer its the hub of the scene in this country and my favourite place to be Smile

We intially camped in Feock just outside Truro at a friends land. This land though having a smallish flat area was mainly very steep so we moved over to Whitemoore just north of Truto. We used my van for day trips around the area and went into Fowey and a few beaches around there. I totally loved the county and had the most amazing time.

St Ives does the best cream teas... Just don't park at the coach park as it's a long steep climb back to the car.
